Jana Kramer to perform at Blessing of the Vines Weekend

TEMECULA – Hailing from Michigan – roughly an hour north of Washington Township – Jana Kramer, country artist and actress, will be taking the stage on Saturday, April 21, at South Coast Winery’s Blessing of the Vines Weekend event.

Growing up in a musical family, Kramer has been performing for friends and family since she was a young child, and began participating in singing competitions at the ripe age of 3 years old.

Currently promoting her album debut, set for June 5, Kramer has been giving live performances on radio shows all across the US. She is set to join a major tour that will be announced in the upcoming week.

"It’s crazy. [The release of my album] won’t hit me until people start telling me, ‘I have your album!’ It’s one of those things where you always want to release an album, but never expect it to happen," stated Kramer. "It’s a dream come true!"

Having lived in Los Angeles for nine years, Kramer is familiar with the City of Temecula and states that she is excited to return."When I visited Temecula before, everyone was really nice and I can’t wait to go back!" said Kramer enthusiastically over a phone interview. Defining her sound as "country, authentic, real, and organic," Kramer also states that her sound is "lots of fun!"

The Blessing of the Vines Weekend features various festivities, including the traditional wine tasting of South Coast Winery’s award-winning wines.

Previous to the show, a Down to Earth Winemaker’s Dinner will be held in the Gold Room at 5:30 p.m. A five-course menu will be offered, created by Chef Mike Terry, featuring fresh vegetables from South Coast Winery’s personal gardens and its exquisite award-winning wines. The cost for the dinner is $100, and through a special promotion, with the purchase of a dinner ticket, show prices are reduced to $10 with preferred seating.

Sunday’s events will feature the celebration of South Coast Winery’s award winnings of "Best Restaurant," Best Chef," and "Best Spa," along with the Earth Day Wine Blending Competition at 4 p.m. The cost for Sunday’s events is $45. "Wine is my favorite thing on the planet," said Kramer. "Two of my favorite things are singing and wine, so it’s perfect!"Jana Kramer will begin her performance at 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, in the courtyard. Opening the show will be Christian Simmons with Miss Jessica Hail from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
